The Lugoba Children’s Centre Solar System is an 11 kWp off-grid solar energy project located in Chalinze District, Pwani Region, Tanzania. The system was developed to provide a stable and independent power supply for the centre’s daily operations and community care services.
With an installed capacity of approximately 11 kWp, the solar system provides clean and reliable electricity for lighting, security, educational tools, and general facility operations. The transition from generator-based power to solar energy has improved energy reliability while reducing operational costs.
The project supports the centre’s mission to enhance child welfare, safety, and education through sustainable energy access.

About Lugoba Solar System

The Lugoba Children’s Centre Solar System is an 11 kWp off-grid solar project located in Chalinze District, Pwani Region, Tanzania. Developed in partnership with the Sopowerful Foundation and Mutina Power, the system replaced generator dependence with clean solar energy. It provides reliable electricity for lighting, security, educational tools, and daily operations, improving cost efficiency, safety, and sustainable energy access for the children’s centre.
